Emergency Dentists - Miami

If you are experiencing a dental emergency or tooth pain, follow the below advice until you can get to a dentist:

Toothache – Rinse mouth out with warm water and gently use dental floss or an interdental cleaner to remove any debris which may be caught between the teeth. Do not apply a painkiller directly to the gums.

Objects caught between teeth – Try to gently remove with dental floss. If this fails, contact your dentist. Do not use any sharp objects in the mouth.

Broken tooth – Rinse mouth out with warm water and use a cold compress on the area of the broken teeth for swelling.

Bitten lip or tongue – If bleeding persists after applying a cold compress and cleaning the area, go to the emergency hospital room for treatment.

Knocked out tooth – Rinse off the root if it is dirt (do not scrub) and hold the tooth in your mouth until you can get to a doctor. If this is not possible, store it in a glass of milk or cool water until you can get it to a dentist.
